Red Bulls Start Three Game Home Stand Against Quakes

The New York Red Bulls (2-0-2) and their fans may not remember what the inside of Red Bull Arena looks like (unless they have gone to Red Bulls 2 matches) but they finally get to have an extended taste of home cooking. The Red Bulls start a three game home stand tonight against the San […]

Week 6 MLS Predictions & Fantasy Lineup

Major League Soccer’s sixth week of action kicks off tonight with a special Thursday night clash between the Philadelphia Union and NYCFC.  How did my week 5 predictions go, you ask? Not so well! I scored 4 out of 10. Whoopsie! Let’s hope this round brings more success. Here are my predictions for this week: […]

USL Week 4 Recap

Another week done and dusted, with several teams collecting their first wins of the season. In our Game of the Week, Seattle Sounders 2 continue their roll through the Western Conference as Portland was saddled with their first loss of the season.

LA Galaxy to Compete in International Champions Cup

The LA Galaxy announced earlier today that they will be competing in this summer’s International Champions Cup. Other teams in the competition are Manchester United, FC Porto, FC Barcelona, ACF Florentina, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea FC, Club America, New York Red Bulls, and the San Jose Earquakes.

This week, NYCFC and the Philadelphia Union will play twice, starting with a head-to-head match-up at Yankee Stadium. NYCFC v PHI is the opening game for the week, so the transfer deadline is Thursday at 7:00 PM EASTERN / 4:00 PM PACIFIC. The question, though, is this: who are you going to bring in for this round?

Crew SC vs Vancouver, New England, and MLS Schedule Makers

Columbus Crew SC’s biggest foe in the first few weeks of the season has not been TFC or late goals or stoppage time, it has been the MLS Schedule makers. To start a season with two games, than a bye week for absolutely no reason at all, in between home games at MAPFRE Stadium is […]

Shots, Shots, Shots – Sounders fall in LA

In a frustrating game that saw plenty of shots on goal, the Sounders lost 1-0 to the Galaxy in LA. The Sounders were without Clint Dempsey and The Galaxy were missing Robbie Keane, but the quality was still plenty. The Sounders had 10 shots on goal. Jamie Penedo made 10 saves. The one separating difference […]

USL Week 4 Preview

It’s Week 4 already and we’ve already got some controversy brewing in New York after Red Bulls II received 11 one-day loans for their tilt with Toronto FC II last week. I won’t be covering that because Reckless Challenge’s William Brown did such a good job of covering it earlier this week. But that was […]

What does the Future hold for the Atlanta Silverbacks?

After the 2014 North American Soccer League season supporters of the Silverbacks didn’t know if they will see their club play next season.  Supporters of the club raised awareness on twitter to Save The Silverbacks. Supporters created an alliance group called Silverbacks Alliance Council. Their mission is to explore ways in which supporters & ownership can […]

Americans Don’t Care About MLS, Huh?

The American Soccer universe went into a frenzy yesterday over an article by longtime sports journalist, Frank DeFord headlined, “Americans Don’t Care About Major League Soccer” While Frank is certainly entitled to his opinion, personally I don’t see much validity to what he emphatically states. That isn’t to say everything he penned is off base. Major League […]
