The Portland Timbers Last Shot

Champions League is done, the Supporter’s Shield is long gone, the US Open Cup resulted in nothing, now all that’s left is a single shot at making the 2014 MLS playoffs. California Dreamin’

Tonight the Whitecaps will travel to San Jose to take on a beaten and battered San Jose Earthquakes. San Jose are coming off a double header against the Portland Timbers during which they gave up a one goal lead to lose 2-1 at home before getting hammered 3-0 in Portland. The Whitecaps have been experiencing […]

Another Must Win for Portland

Tonight it’s Real Salt Lake at home. The Timbers have only defeated RSL a single time and in that match there was no Nick Rimando. If Portland wants into the playoffs, they likely have to get three points from the West’s third place club.

Familiar Foe Gets in the Way of Playoff Dreams

The year was 2009. It was a rainy night in New Jersey. All that was needed was a point on the last day of the season. There was no Thierry Henry. No Bradley Wright-Phillips. No Red Bull Arena.

Portland Looks For Six Points in Four Days from San Jose

Tonight is the second meeting in four days for the Portland Timbers and the San Jose Earthquakes. Unfortunately it was a beating that they got nonetheless.
