Rowdies – Railhawks Match Preview

The Tampa Bay Rowdies take on the Carolina Rail hawks this Saturday night in Carolina at 7:30pm Est. The Rowdies need to figure something out since the last three games have all ended in zero points. The team has to make changes somewhere because the starting eleven that have been normally out on the pitch have not been producing. Last week against the Strikers a change in goal was made with Matt Pickens not starting and Kamil Contofalsky in goal. This change was a surprise to most fans because Pickens had been playing in great form since taking over for Contofalsky since his injury in the spring season. With Contofalsky allowing three goals I would like to see a change back to Pickens.

For the Rowdies they need to have better holding and passing possessions that don’t allow their defense to be put into hard spots to defend off of turnovers. Some key objectives that the Rowdies have to do is finish in the final third and hold possession. The Rowdies have a lot of scoring chances but just can’t see to find the back of the net. This has been the Achilles heel this fall season for them. Before Maicon Santos goal scored last week against the Strikers it was the first goal scored for the Rowdies since July 4th.

The Carolina RailHawks will be a tough match for the Rowdies tonight and will be a good test of Thomas Rongens coaching ability to put together a starting eleven that will go out and get three points to ring back home. You might also see the new player who the Rowdies have gotten on loan from Tigres Omar Salgado who is a big target standing at 6’4 who is a true number 9 and could be a deciding factor in his possible debut like Freddy Adu last week with the assist for the only goal scored last week.

Prediction is a 1-1 Draw.

Come On You Rowdies!
