The third week of the Major League Soccer season is upon us with 16 teams competing in 8 matches. For those keeping track at home, my week 2 predictions were an improvement over week 1 as I scored 4 out of 8. Woo hoo! Let’s see what week 3 has in store. Here are my predictions for this weekend’s action:
FC Dallas @ Philadelphia – FCD WIN
Montreal @ New England – Revs WIN
NYCFC @ Colorado – TIE
Vancouver @ Orlando City – TIE
Portland @ Sporting KC – Portland WIN
Houston @ LA Galaxy – LAG WIN
DC @ New York Red Bulls – RBNY WIN
Chicago @ San Jose – SAN JOSE WIN
Who do you have winning this week? What match are you most intrigued by? For me, it’s San Jose opening their beautiful brand new stadium versus the Fire on Sunday. My wife and I will be taking the 9 hour trek down from Oregon to witness the event in person. What a fantastic occasion for the Quakes and MLS.
Lastly, above is my fantasy lineup for week 3. My fantasy lineup was in dire straits already. The first two weeks of the fantasy season were so awful that I made substantial changes to my lineup and utilize the “wildcard” feature. For those who don’t know, the “wildcard” is a one-time use feature that allows a fantasy player to make an unlimited amount of transfers without incurring negative points. What do you think of my “new and improved” lineup? Last week I only accumulated 41 points. Wowzers!
Who do you have on your squad? Good luck to all in week 3!
