The Columbus Crew have secured a 3rd place Eastern Conference finish and will play the New England Revolution in the first round of the playoffs.

​The Crew managed a resounding victory at home on Saturday night against the Houston Dynamo. It was the 2nd straight emphatic home victory for the Crew, and this great run of form looks to be coming at the perfect time for the Crew’s playoff push.

​Columbus took home only 1 point in a thrilling contest in Portland against the Timbers. Gregg Berhalter had mentioned his intentions to switch around some of the squad due to the inept performances in recent weeks, but his decision was forced for this game with a couple members leaving for international duty.

The Columbus Crew has been beaten for the third match in a row, winless in 7 matches, and hasn’t scored a goal in the last 321 minutes of MLS play. Vancouver continued a decent run with their second consecutive win.
