CREWzing Back Home

On Sunday June 25, 2011 the Crew welcomes Colorado Rapids to the friendly confines of Crew Stadium.

The Crew are coming off a great win in Houston last week tallying their first road win and hopefully getting back on track in the East.  The last win was important because the Crew were on a bit of a slide and the youth movement took the team on their backs and pulled out a win.  Hopefully the Crew will be able to ride this high into Sunday and get a win against Colorado.  Some of you may remember the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference where the Crew took on Colorado last year.  This did not turn out too well for the Crew and in fact the past two years the Crew were knocked out of the playoffs by the eventual champion of the MLS, Real Salt Lake in 2009 and Colorado in 2010.

Let’s not beat a dead horse here. The rant is the same week in and week out. The Crew will win if:

  1. They play from the midfield.
  2. The defense does not have a brain fart.
  3. Mendoza does not miss sitters.
  4. The kids play like they are on a soccer pitch and not the playground.

Enjoy the beautiful game win or lose and make today better than yesterday.
