According to a report in the LA Times, the Los Angeles Galaxy have confirmed the signing Mexican international Giovani dos Santos from Villarreal in Spain’s La Liga.
Dos Santos’ contract with MLS will run through the 2019 season and a transfer fee of $7 million is being reported according to the LA Times.
LA acquired allocation money on Tuesday from NYCFC and were able to use the money to buy down Omar Gonzalez’s salary hit and sign dos Santos.
Dos Santos has never played in North America in his career, having spent all his time in Europe with Barcelona, Racing Santander, Mallorca, Tottenham Hotspur, Ipswich Town, Galatasaray.
