Impact Get First MLS Win

The Montreal Impact scored two goals in-route to their first-ever MLS win. A 2-1 victory over rivals Toronto FC at Olympic Stadium this past weekend. I’m going to dub it the “BMO Cup” seeing as both teams, IMFC and TFC, have BMO as jersey sponsors.

Andrew Wenger

Sinisa Ubiparipovic made his first appearance of the season for the Impact in this one and started his campaign in great fashion, scoring in the 17th minute. In the 81st minute, 2012 first overall SuperDraft selection, Andrew Wenger scored his first professional goal. Montreal now has four points on the season. The team’s record now stands at 1-4-1.

The next leg of the “BMO Cup” will take place June 27th with the Impact hosting TFC again. The next MLS game on the docket for the Impact will be April 14th at FC Dallas.

Can IMFC take this momentum on the road and do something with it? Sound off to me on Twitter. My handle is @MLSinMONTREAL. Use the #IMFCvFCD hashtag.
