United – Railhawks Match Preview

Today the Railhawks are going to play host to the Loons. The Railhawks will sure have home field advantage , because WakeMed Soccer park is a difficult place to play in on the road. Most away clubs don’t leave there with a lot of points. The last time both sides faced off against each other , the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Both clubs finished with 14 points in the Spring Season.  Both clubs will be looking to get off to a good start on the first match day of the Fall Season. During the break Minnesota United parted ways with Johnny Steele . United club President Nick Rodgers had this to say on the departure of Johnny Steele: “I’ve personally enjoyed getting to know Jonny during his time here in Minnesota, but ultimately he and the club both agreed that the fit wasn’t right and the best thing for both sides was to allow him to move on to his next opportunity.” “He’s a talented footballer and I look forward to seeing him back on the pitch.”

Players To Watch out for:

Tiyi Shipalane ( Railhawks) – He scored the only goal for the Railhawks when they faced off in the Spring Season. Tiyi has a lot of pace and speed look for him to get past the United defenders , and have a lot of chances on net. United is going to have a hard time trying to cover Tiyi.

Pablo Campos (United) – Pablo is second on the NASL goalscorer list . One goal behind Scorpions own Omar Cummings.

Quotes:

We’re ready to get back playing”. “We aren’t completely happy with how we played at home in the spring, and we want to get that right and start with three points at home on the Fourth of July.”
