Timbers striker Fanendo Adi has been linked to Pachuca and Atlas of LigaMX by FOX Deportes’ Mario Aguirre. Portland is reported to have recently turned down a $2 million offer from a Russian club.
Adi has been in a slump as of late for the PTFC and fans have been displeased with his inability to find the back of the net for the last five weeks. With Timbers’ owner Merritt Paulson previously stating that “My staff has a green light to sign a guy on $5 million or less a year at their discretion (and more if I approve)… but getting the right one is the trick … they don’t grow on trees and it’s not just quality on field we look for,” it’s possible that this could open up space for a new DP in the Rose City.
