Chivas USA Draw Brings Disappointment in Seattle

Many times we are former players, fans, first time enthusiasts, parents, friends, or teammates, but none of this truly matters when your side underachieves in spite of sheer domination. Please continue to read the stats, and the box scores, I know I will, but unless you were in Seattle on Saturday afternoon good luck labeling the draw between the Sounders and Chivas USA anything but a lack of focus, a lack of finishing, and ultimately this was an unfortunate result for the home team.

Obviously there were multiple chances that were squandered away, limp footed, rushed, clanged off the post, and then the ‘keepers back. Yes many of the Sounders players truly did play well, and at times Chivas defended like any team should. In the end the net was never rippled nor threatened.

It’s one of those games that I could talk about what actually happened on the field, and what all of the numbers truly mean, but the simple fact is that two points were left on the table, and that is unacceptable when chasing the Shield.
